Facilities

We cater for children from birth up to school entry.  We run from two rooms, one in the Northway/Ashchurch Children's Centre next to Northway Infant school and one in Northway Infant school.

Our rooms are bright, spacious, heated and well equipped. There are child friendly toilet facilities, a small kitchen area for cookery and preparation of snacks (out of bounds to the children) and a fenced off outside play area.  We also benefit from being allowed to use the school hall, the huge field and playground area and their new kitchen learning room.

Our last Ofsted inspection was in February 2009, it was an extremely positive inspection, grading us as having areas of outstanding practice and all areas good. Please ask if you would like to see a copy of the inspection report.

ALL OF OUR STAFF AND TRUSTEES HOLD ENHANCED CRB CLEARANCE

The groups are staffed by qualified and experienced staff specialising in early years, with an adult to child ratio that gives your child a high level of care. A minimum of two playgroup staff will be present at each session.

The staff are current holders of suitable qualifications in childcare, all trained to a minimum of level 3 in child development and have many years experience between them.  All staff have paediatric first aid and safeguarding certificates.They also regularly attend other relevant training and courses ensuring that their knowledge and skills are continually developed and that they are aware of the latest developments in Early Years education.  In addition, every three years they attend First Aid and Child Protection training.
